Cypress Hill inspired BudSense Menu

Fun Fact:

Cypress Hill were banned from ever appearing on Saturday Night Live after their first live performance as the musical guest on October 2, 1993. They performed “Insane in the Brain'' and when they returned to the stage to play “I Ain’t Going Out” DJ Muggs lit a spliff on stage. Addressing the crowd, DJ Muggs yelled out “Yo, New York City, they said I couldn’t light my joint, you know what I’m saying? Well, we ain’t going out like that!” . You can watch the entire performance here (if short on time, fast forward to 4:27).

“Roll it up, light it up, smoke it

Inhale, exhale”

- Cypress Hill (I mean… How could we not?)

When Cypress Hill was formed in 1988, it was in the middle of Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” (to drugs) campaign.

B-Real and Sen spoke about the challenges Cypress Hill faced back in the day “When we started shopping our demos, we had the marijuana influenced songs and they weren’t really with it. They were like ‘What are you guys talking about? Getting high and smoking weed?’ They weren’t giving us a shot. Sony for some reason got it, and said ‘This is you guys, do what you want to do. We’ll back it, if it fails, it fails. If it wins, great’”.

Hope you enjoyed our menu inspiration featuring Cypress Hill.
