One of the strangest facts about Bob Marley is that he was able to read palms when he was a child and was able to accurately predict futures. He stopped reading palms as a child and declared it was his destiny to become a singer. Whether or not he was accurate about other people’s readings, he sure was right about his own destiny!

When Bob Marley sparked up a joint, it was for a much greater purpose than just relaxing and letting go of stress – for Bob, it was religious. In the 1960s, Marley converted from Christianity to the Rastafarian religion. Rastas smoke marijuana to increase spiritual awareness. For them, it is a medium that is used to open their mind and increase their spiritual awareness.
