Bob Marley’s family Launches Marley Natural in the United States Market
Announced on February 5, 2016, Marley Natural, a New York founded and Seatle based cannabis company has come out with a line of weed strains branded in the name of late reggae icon, Bob Marley. The brand, being built by the Marley family, is “inspired by the healing power of nature". It comes in four categories, each featuring different strains depending on harvest availability: Marley Green, Marley Gold, Marley Red, Marley Black. These strains are available as flower, pre-rolls, and vape cartridges. Initially, the strains were exclusive in California before expanding to Canada, South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and other U.S. states where cannabis is legal.

When I ripped open the packaging of the Red Marley Natural vape cartridge, the CBD oil looked beautiful. It appears to have an icy, crystalline texture and a rich, golden hue. Upon inhalation, I loved the way the vape tasted. It’s had a sweet and sour flavor indicative of most CBD-rich strains. The vapor was so smooth and easy on my lungs and throat. With relatively low traces of THC, the oil didn’t induce euphoric effects. My body felt calm and relaxed. This strain pairs nicely with a fuzzy blanket, a bowl of popcorn, and a movie night or vibing to this playlist made by the Marley Natural team.

What you didn’t know about Bob Marley
We don’t know when Bob Marley started smoking weed, but we do know that the herb was a part of his every day from the time of his conversation to becoming Rastafarianism to his death. Bob, being named one of the most iconic weed smokers of all time, would smoke at least three times a day. He quotes, “When you smoke herb, herb reveal yourself to you”, so we can imagine the man knew himself very well. Beyond his introspection, Bob was also highly in tune with reading and understanding others as he was a palm reader before he was a singer. Up until the age of about seven, he would study the palms of friends and neighbours and, remarkably, accurately predict their futures.
