How Willie Nelson Uses Music and ‘Willie’s Reserve’ to Help the Cannabis Community

Willie Nelson

As you know, cannabis pairs well with many things. One thing it pairs well with is music. 🎶

This well-paired match may be why you see so many famous musicians indulged in the cannabis community. Famous musicians of the past and present smoked a little (okay…maybe a lot of) weed to aid their creativity.

Today, we see many famous musicians inspiring or creating their own cannabis brands. Cannabis advocate, Willie Nelson is one of them. In 2016 at the age of 83, Willie Nelson launched his own cannabis brand Willie’s Reserve™.

The popularity of the brand inspired us to create a cannabis menu that embodied Willie Reserve branding, learn a little more about the product and the legend who inspired the product, Willie Nelson. Here’s what we learned.

Willie Nelson and his cannabis brand

Longtime cannabis advocate and award-winning musician, author and actor, Willie Nelson launched his own legendary cannabis brand, Willie’s Reserve™. Willie’s Reserve™ partnered with Sovereign Distribution and cultivators Orekron, Oregon Grown Organics, and Strong Roots Farm to bring Willie’s Reserve to cannabis dispensaries in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Colorada in the United States. The Willie’s Reserve lineup includes cannabis accessories, infused edibles, vapes, pre rolls and eighth and quarter flowers.

Willie’s Reserve Oro Blanco vape review

The Oro Blanco is the only Indica vape cart in the Willie’s Reserve lineup. The Oro Blanco uses a CO2-extracted method and is made from White Widow x Himalayan Gold. It’s main terpenes include myrcene which sits ar a 20.9%, followed by beta-pinene, and linalool. This terpene combo gives it a very fruity, sweet, and bright flavor with a citrusy finish 🍋 and a hazy pungent scent. This strain helps you relax and is a great eay to ease the mind.

What you didn’t know about Willie Nelson

Following the Covid-19 lockdowns that began in March 2020, Nelson live-streamed a series of benefit concerts. His first two concerts raised $700,000 for people who had suffered financial loss due to effects on the U.S. economy. His third concert, named Come and Toke It, was held on April 20, 2020 - one of the best days of the year. Some of the content was cannabis-themed, and some of the proceeds will be used to support The Last Prisoner Project, a cannabis reform non-profit that supports restorative justice programs relating to persons convicted of cannabis-related crimes.

Here at BudSense, we are proud of the work Willie has done to help progress cannabis in the United States and will continue to cheer on the 89 year old as he strives to create positive change for the cannabis community.
