Monogram by Celebrity Stoner Jay-Z
Jay-Z Launches Monogram in the California Market
Announced on December 10, 2020, Caliva, a California-based cannabis company would be partnering with American rapper and songwriter, Jay-Z to create a line of flower called Monogram. Despite the name, Jay-Z offers four different strains under the Monogram brand that are made for light, medium, and heavy consumers. Monogram’s flower is cultivated at The Parent Company's flagship growing facility in San Jose, California, using a batch-by-batch approach. It is available in Los Angeles, Bay Area, and South Bay dispensaries in California.
Monogram consists of three different product categories: the OG Handroll, Loosies Preroll Pack, and Flower which is packaged in 2g and 4g jars. Monogram cannabis products range between 23-34% THC.
Monogram No.1 Review
Trying out Monogram No.1 flower was a great experience. With Monogram being a more luxury weed brand, we were not surprised by the smoothness and tastiness of this smoke. The No.1 is most similar to a Sativa allowing us to focus and get into a creative flow. If you’re looking for a strain that will help you bang out a bunch of tasks on your To-Do list, this one will do the trick. While the Monogram we reviewed was fantastic, the price point was on the more expensive side, so you may want to save this one for special occasions.
Being super fans of Monogram we decided to build a Jay-Z Monogram Digital Menu board.

Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter - hip-hop's first billionaire and weed
Shawn Carter, more commonly known as “Beyonce’s husband” or “Jay-Z”, is no newbie when it comes to smoking. More commonly he is often seen in public with a cigar in his hand rather than a joint. That being said, he is still very passionate about the plant and holds great respect for the cannabis industry. Jay-Z believes the cannabis industry is “an industry whose legacy of skilled craftsmanship is often overlooked”. Not only is Jay-Z helping move the needle in progressing the cannabis industry in America, but he is also helping progress the investment and funds that go towards minority-owned cannabis startups. His goal is to promote Black participation in the cannabis space and serve as a stepping stone for the people who have been maligned by America's War on Drugs.
We hope you enjoyed learning a little about Jay-Z’s Monogram, his relationship with weed and ask that you stay tuned for more entries in the Celebrities Who Smoke Weed blog series.
