Mike Tyson launches Mike Bites in California, Massachusetts, and Nevada markets

On March 15, 2022, Mike Tyson, the former American professional boxer - aka one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, launched Mike Bites. Mike Bites aren't the first consumables to enter the market under Mike’s cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0, but they are the first to be in the shape of a half-bitten ear. These edibles were inspired by the famous 1997 boxing match, "The Bite Fight", where Mike bit off a piece of Evander Holyfield's ear. With the launch of Mike Bites, we hope that Holyfield receives some royalties for sacrificing his ear or gets a package of these edibles delivered to him.

Tyson 2.0

The Brooklyn, New York native launched his cannabis company in November 2021. Since launching Tyson 2.0, the new cannabis brand has been a total knockout in Nevada, Massachusetts, and California markets. Tyson 2.0 currently sells edibles, eights jars of flower, and 1 gram pre-rolls with strains such as Toad lines, Animal Mints, Cookies N' Cream, Citrus Berry, Gelato, Lemon Pie, and Runtz. By the end of Q1 2022, concentrates, vapes, and more edibles will be available. Tyson 2.0 products can be found in Planet 13, Sherbinskis, Cookies, One Plant, The Originals, and Showgrow dispensaries.

Tyson 2.0 - The Toad 3.5g Flower Review

Though we’d like to provide you with a review of Mike Bites, we have yet to try this product. We have tried The Toad 3.5g flower and can say the strain has definitely earned some points for its hit.

The Toad being derived from two legendary strains, Chemdawg OG and Girl Scout Cookies provides an enjoyable and immediate onset of cerebral euphoria that tapers into a full-body relaxation and feeling of relief. We recommend finding a comfy spot to plop yourself into. After one puff of this earthy pine and diesel strain, you’ll be sinking deep into your chair and will probably not want to move for a while.

Being super fans of Mike Tyson’s product we decided to build a Mike Tyson - Mike Bites -Tyson 2.0 Menu board.

What you didn’t know about Mike Tyson

Throughout Mike Tyson’s life, he has had quite an interesting relationship with cannabis. He started smoking weed when he was 10 years old. He fell in love with the plant and then claimed he took a long break from smoking. This was mostly due to the beginning of his fighting career, in which he frequently had to take drug tests prior to his fights. During this time, Mike Tyson claimed he only fought once while high. In this fight he says, the plant actually improved his performance as it helped him relax and stay loose during the fight. Though this was said to be the only time he fought while stoned, we believe differently. Mike says he consumes about $40,000 worth of weed every month and claimed on several counts he found loopholes to help him pass his drug tests. When he did get caught, Mike Tyson was fined $300,000 for smoking weed and fighting while high. Now that was one expensive joint.

We hope you enjoyed learning a little about Mike Tyson, Mike Bites, his passion for cannabis and ask that you stay tuned for more entries in the Celebrities Who Smoke Weed blog series.
