5 Seattle Dispensaries You’ve Got to Check Out

What do you think George Washington’s favorite strain would be?

Do you remember when Washington State became cannabis legal?

Although it may seem like a very long time ago, looking at the calendar, it was almost a whole decade ago!

On December 6, 2012, Washington became the first U.S. state to legalize the recreational use of cannabis and the first State to allow recreational cannabis sales.

Since then, it’s been amazing to watch how the cannabis industry has shifted in not only Washington but the entire United States, with now 19 states being cannabis legal.

In this blog, we thought we’d get creative using our cannabis menu software and share with you some popular dispensaries in Washington’s biggest city, Seattle and what they look like on digital dispensary cannabis menus.

Here are 5 Seattle dispensaries - in no particular order, you’ve got to check out and what they look like on a cannabis menu.

  1. Green Fire Cannabis Cannabis Menu

This may be the greenest cannabis menu we’ve ever built

If you love the color green, you need to check out Green Fire Cannabis. The Green Fire Cannabis dispensary was named one of the “Top 10 Most Eye-Catching Dispensaries In Seattle” for its extreme green theme. This dispensary is located at 1956 1st Ave. S. in Seattle.

2. (Lux) Pot Shop Cannabis Menu

The LUX Pot Shop, formerly called Stash Pot Shop opened in 2015. What makes this dispensary stand out is not only its minimalist design, but its commitment to helping and supporting its community, with up to 20% of vendor sales going to support nonprofits. Wow!

A little about Lux from Carson the Social Media Manager at Lux Cannabis.

What makes Lux unique?

“What makes Lux different is we focus on cannabis education so the consumer is empowered to find their best high. There's no wrong questions as we all continue to discover more about this magical herb.”

“Lux came from Medical beginnings and still supports the same family farms that care about their cannabis being sustainable, safe, and effective.”

What makes your customers want to come back?

“Our regulars come back because they can consistently find what they love while learning about the latest and greatest Seattle has to offer.”

3. Have a Heart Cannabis Menu

Have a Heart has dispensaries in Washington, Oregon, and California. This place is not only known for its helpful and knowledgeable staff, but also for having a great selection of flower. Have a Heart was a household name in the medical cannabis community long before cannabis was legalized, and its walkable proximity to Pike’s Place makes it an easy spot for visitors to hit the usual spots.

4. Dockside Cannabis Cannabis Menu

Dockside Cannabis first opened way back in 2011 as the medically-licensed Dockside Co-op. In Seattle, it’s known for being part modern dispensary and part museum as it showcases the history and science of cannabis in the shop.

A little about Dockside from Teri Bauer, the Sr. Marketing Manager at Dockside Cannabis

What makes Dockside unique?

“There are quite a few things that are truly different about Dockside.

1) Our roots are in medical. We started as a co-op and we were built on the notion of safe access and some of that is still reflected in the customer experience even today, many years later since Washington state converted to recreational. We strive to meet each customer where they are and listen carefully to what their needs are. There is no cookie-cutter approach and we stand behind our satisfaction guarantee.

2) We emphasize education. The more our customers know, the more empowered they are. We offer relevant content in the form of blogs, materials in-store and events.

3) Dockside is woman and minority owned and puts people over profits consistently.”

What makes your customers want to come back?

“It boils down to how they’re treated. We honor the plant’s contribution to building connections ~ whether that’s with each customer, our employees, or the greater community. Weekly deals, our “Loop” loyalty program, price-matching are all greens fees. People come back to us because of our dedication to helping people find what’s right for them to promote their overall well-being.”

5. Hashtag Cannabis Cannabis Menu

Hashtag Cannabis opened their doors in 2015 in Seattle. Hashtag Cannabis is known to support and celebrate the diverse communities in which they live and work by spearheaded several fundraising drives for a wide variety of non-profit organizations.
